HOW: Rihanna (Again)

We haven’t published many posts on how to get the look, but when we do it’s usually how to get Rihanna’s. She has impeccable style and great taste. The look below is one of our favorites because of her use of animal print. The leopard scarf and matching print bag is in perfect balance with her navy pea-coat and grey knit hat.

To get her look shop the boutique below:

We have also had a hard time finding a pair of black leather, knee high boots. I find I either look like a pirate or Edward Scissorhands.

But Rihanna knows how to pull it off. She finishes the look off with a pair of black leggings and knee high boots.

When: Oh BOY, Fashion Week “end”

Scott Sternberg, designer of Boy By Band of Outsiders, initially stole my love with knit ties and boat shoes. When he added women’s wear to his collection, I was thrilled.
According to Style.com the Spring ‘10 collection is “Malibu in the ’70’s.” One of our favorite parts of Band of Outsiders are who he chooses for his campaigns…Jason Shwartzman (go see I Heart Huckabees) and Kristen Dunst.
Hair infused with salty beach wind, avaiators, and boat shoes set the scene for Sternberg’s latest collection.
Our favorite looks include bandage striped mini’s, cropped khaki jackets, and plaid button downs.

The best look of the 43 piece collection (including menswear) is this plaid number below. Rolled up khaki shorts and a plaid button down paired with a casual navy, one button blazer is the perfect transition outfit from a winding down winter into a cool spring. A pair of navy tights would make the transition warmer. We were also thinking, lightweight scarf and knit wool cap. This collection makes us want to fast forward through fall!
