How: Ladies Man

It was in middle school that I first begged for the ever popular basic black Kate Spade shoulder bag. When I got it, I wore it until the edges were frayed and everyone else “had to have it.”

Years later I find myself eyeing Jack Spade. What’s the appeal? The slanted straps. It makes it easier for the messenger bag to sit on the hip, across the back, or dangle from the shoulder. Who says that a woman can’t wear a mans bag?

Who: Don’t Shoot The Messenger

It may have started with paperboys and messengers. Those oversized slinging bags that carry it all. (A Mary Poppins scenerio, if you will.)

Sashed across your body at an adjustable length, messenger bags make it easy to commute, party, and travel, hands free. See below for some great messenger options.

Make love not war with this symbolic peace symbol bag by Lucky Brand. Going for that rustic, worn in look? Grab this messenger by Jas M.B., which comes in black and navy. If you’re still swooning for oversized and embellished accessories click on the cognac leather, gold studded, Tory Burch messenger or the large brown buckle Treesje cross body.

Stuff these bags with all the necessary goods to get you through the day. Have a great weekend!
