Fashion Flipping : Five Favorites From Style.com

To get a sneak peek at what’s really trending this summer, we referenced Style.com’s party pictures. We’ve grabbed a few photos whose subjects are making statements with some great ideas for what to wear this summer.

Daphne Guinness – Make a monochromatic outfit pop with a bright colored handbag.

Malgosia Bela – Layer on chain necklaces to bring a drab look to life.

Mariacarla Boscono – Sheer is hard to pull off and midriffs are even harder! But with the right high waisted skirt, anything is possible.

Dree Hemingway – We’re huge fans of grandfather cardigans and when paired, the right way, with a formal dress, there’s nothing sweeter.

Leigh Lezark – Cobalt blue is the color of the season. Wear it in any form with everything! We especially love Leigh’s paper bag style skirt.

HOW: Mother’s Day Gift Guide – Under $100

Mother’s Day is around the corner and with only two days left to find something special, we scouted some quick and easy gifts for under $100 that are just right for the occasion.

1. A gift card and/or cardholder: Yes, combined these two gifts may cost over $100. Of course, you can opt for a $50 cardholder and $50 gift card. We love the idea of a card holder with a little extra dough in it! Whether it be Starbucks or Bergdorfs…

2. Gift sets: You can’t go wrong with a gift set. We’ve included one to smooth her skin, make her look prettier (if prettier were possible) and one to cleanse her young face.

3. Rope bracelet: What we’re loving about rope bracelets is that they can be worn as a statement piece or a reminder of a friend or daughter’s love. Matching rope bracelets, like those good ol’ friendship bracelets, come with more meaning than just – here is a piece of jewelry for being such a great mom.

4. Meaningful Necklace: We can remember when we were five and we bought those cheap gold nameplate “Mom” necklaces for mother’s day. Now, with this chic Dogeared mini heart charm and sweet note, your mom is far from a cheap gold plated necklace.  The note reads:

“Make a wish when you put on your necklace. You are an amazing woman. I am so grateful for all that you do! Thank you for your endless supply of wisdom and love. Wear your necklace as a reminder that I love you!”

5. Scarf: A lightweight scarf is a great piece to help bring your mom casually and stylishly into spring and summer. This one from the Gap is made with high quality woven cotton and retails under $30!

We wish all the moms out there a very happy and joyous Mother’s Day!

WHAT: Chambray Chic

Picture 11

With heat on the way, hopefully, there is one fabric that we’re itching to break out. Chambray is a lightweight cotton cloth used as a fabric for shirts, bags, scarves, and hats. One of our favorite blogs – The Cut – posted on Gap’s chambray tote today. This inspired us to search for other options that are light in color and weight.

1. Arden B; Chambray Ruffle Front Romper – $49

2. Forever 21; Chambray Spaghetti Top – $19.80

3. Old Navy; Women’s Roll-Up Chambray Camper Shirts –$26.50

4. Gap; Colorblock canvas tote – $34.50
