Last night, in a gummy bear, candy corn craze, we watched one of our all time favorite movies – Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion.

We love how the best friends make their own clothes and aren’t afraid to admit how “cute” they are – even if some of their outfits aren’t so “cute.” However, we are slightly obsessed with their reunion ensemble and find ourselves craving a metallic mini for this weekend’s festivities. Looking back on fashion was always a little bit more fun than looking forward.

This past weekend was filled with relaxation, gorgeous scenery, and not so hot weather. The majestic rocks and refreshing bike ride made the gray days seem sunny and bright. After vacationing in Newport, RI we would highly recommend this destination to any couple/group of friends looking to getaway not so faraway.

We stayed at The Castle Hill Inn, in a quaint cabin along the beach. We rented bikes, ate delicious meals, and enjoyed cocktails on the grassy knoll behind the castle overlooking the Narragansett Bay. Please enjoy pictures from our trip below.

Mixing patterns and animal prints have just about consumed us. It’s time to move on to the next hot trend.  We thought it would be a great time to try on some piping.

This top, by Nom de Plume YaYa, a new addition to UrbanOutfitters.com, is what inspired us to search for similar tops in the “piped” category.  The silhouette gives the silky top a classic look while the black piping adds some edge.

With heat on the way, hopefully, there is one fabric that we’re itching to break out. Chambray is a lightweight cotton cloth used as a fabric for shirts, bags, scarves, and hats. One of our favorite blogs – The Cut – posted on Gap’s chambray tote today. This inspired us to search for other options that are light in color and weight.
